The following Feng Shui cures are valid from 5 May to 5 June 2013.  We consider these days as in the same ‘Feng Shui month’ which is different from the Gregorian Calendar.  If you are interested to know about the rationale behind, plus other practical Feng Shui skills that you can do at home, please consider joining the Feng Shui Master Class. May Feng Shui Cures

East

This is where the Yearly Flying Star 3 and Monthly Flying Star 6 meet, the metal and wood nature in conflict, there may be injury or health problems if you sleep in this direction of the house, or the entrance door is located here.  You should place a glass of water here to help to reduce the bad effects.

Southeast

This is yet another direction where metal and wood meet, because the Yearly Flying Star 4 (wood) and Monthly Flying Star 7 (metal) are co-located in this month.  Similarly, you need to put a glass of water here if either the entrance door or the bedroom is here.

South

The Yearly lucky Flying Star 9 in South is supported by the Monthly Flying Star 3, so this direction could bring happiness if the entrance door or bed room is here.  There is no need to put anything here to fix, because this direction is already quite good in this month.

Southwest

This is a double-sickness direction in this month.  Both bad Flying Stars, 2 and 5, are located here (one is the Yearly and one is the Monthly bad star).  If the entrance door is in this direction, or the bed or bedroom is in this corner of the flat, there would be high chance of getting sick in this month.  You should place a metallic music box here and make it sound often.  Alternatively, a metallic wind chime (preferably with 6 tubes) would also help, if there is a windows with blowing wind in this direction.

West

This is a good direction for wealth growth.  Thanks to the Yearly Flying Star 7 and Monthly Flying Star 1, if the entrance door or the desk where you do your home office or investment (in other words, all money-generating activities) is in this direction, you could have good luck in wealth.

Northwest

Stay away from this direction if you have problems with your lung, stomach, throat or respiratory system, since there is a conflict between “fire” and “metal” here, between the Flying Stars 6 and 9.  You should place a stone here if it is where the entrance door or bedroom location.  Even if this is only where the living room situates, you should stay less frequently here.

North

Good news for students or office employees who want a promotion.  This is a direction that brings good luck in examination and interview, because of the Flying Stars 1 and 4.  You should move your desk here if possible, or place a vase with 4 luck bamboos (or any plant in green color).

Northeast

This is a direction of dilemma, on one hand the Flying Stars could bring wealth, on the other hand they also bring sickness, because both Monthly and Yearly Stars are of “earth” nature.  You should place a metallic music box or metallic wind chime here.

Center

The center is a yearly sickness location, the Monthly Flying Star 8 aggravates the situation in this month.  The solution is to place a metallic music box here and make it sound often.  Besides, do not carry out any building/repair works.

2013 Monthly Feng Shui Cures – April

This article explains the monthly Feng Shui cures for April.  Feng Shui is not static but changes every month.  Even if you have downloaded my 2013 Feng Shui guide and acted accordingly, you need to fine tune the Feng Shui of your home every month to ensure your family is fully protected against bad Feng Shui and enjoy the best Feng Shui throughout the year.

The following Feng Shui cures are valid from 4 April to 5 May 2013.  Why these odd dates?  Because Feng Shui changes according to Chinese Feng Shui calendar, not the gregorian calendar.

April 2013 Feng Shui Cures

East

Since the monthly Flying Star 3 flies to this direction and interact with the yearly Flying Star, there is a higher chance that accident and injury may occur if this direction is where the entrance door or bedroom of your home is located here.  You should place a glass of water here to mitigate the bad effect.

Southeast

The monthly Flying Star 8 with has an earth characteristic meets the yearly Flying Star 4 of wooden characteristic.  The conflict between wood and earth would cause trouble.  It is better to place something red here.

South

This is a lucky direction in this month because the monthly Flying Star 4 meets the yearly Flying Star 9.  If the entrance door or bed is located here, there may be happy things that happen.

Southwest

Although this is a yearly sickness direction, the monthly Flying Star 6 of metallic characteristic could help to reduce the bad effect.  This is not much you need to do here.

West

The monthly Flying Star 2 which is a sickness star comes, to ensure better health if your home’s entrance door or bedroom is located here, you should put something metallic here, such as a metallic music box.

Northwest

The monthly and yearly Flying Stars are of water and metallic characteristics.  This is good for both interpersonal relationship (plus relationship) and health.  This is a lucky direction you can utilize by placing a vase with a colorful flower here.

North

The monthly sickness Flying Star 5 comes here, so this is not a good direction for health if the entrance door or bedroom is here.  The respiratory system, kidney or urinary bladder may be affected.  It is better to place a metallic music box here.

Northeast

You should put a big red thing here since there is a conflict of wood and earth.  The monthly Flying Star 3 conflicts with the yearly Flying Star 8.

Center

The center is a yearly sickness location and the situation is worsened by the coming of the monthly Flying Star 9.  To protect the health of your family, you should put a glass of water and a metallic music box here.

Feng Shui Almanac

East

The yearly “earth” characteristic meets the monthly “earth” characteristic.  The struggle between the two is not good for you.  You should put a piece of red stuff here, such as a red area rug or red wall-hung picture.

Southeast

The yearly Flying Star 4 meets the monthly Flying Star 9, the “wood” characteristic of the former enhances the “fire” characteristic of the latter.  If your bed is located in the Southeast corner of the house (measured from center) or the entrance door opens into this direction, there may be happy occasions in your family, such as job promotion, new baby, marriage, winning lottery, birthday, etc.  (It certainly depends on your own destiny, though)

South

Although this is a good direction for the whole year, in this particular month there is a illness-related Flying Star coming to here.  If the bed, kitchen  or entrance door is here, you should put a metallic music box or wind chime (with six tubes), PLUS a glass of water here.

2013 Monthly Feng Shui Cures – February

Welcome to this regular column, 2013 Monthly Feng Shui Cures.  In this article we shall see the particular Feng Shui cures that are required to fix Feng Shui problems of this month.  Apart from getting rid of bad luck, you will also learn how to implement good Feng Shui for good luck.

Do you know Feng Shui changes every month?  Yes, Feng Shui is about the interaction among time, space and people.  As the time changes Feng Shui changes as well.  Other than the 2013 Feng Shui plan I introduced in the FREE Feng Shui 2013 guide, you are suggested to follow the Feng Shui cures in this article to fine-tune the Feng Shui of your home.

In general, South, Southwest, West, Northwest, North, Northeast and Center are where Feng Shui cures should be implemented, particularly for Southwest, Northeast and Center that are not good for health.  Check out the instructions below for cures.

The instructions below are valid from 4 February 2013 to 5 March 2013, which is the first Feng Shui month of the Year of Snake.

February 2013 Feng Shui Cures

East

East is where the yearly Flying Star 3 meets the monthly Flying Star 9, the bad effects of Flying Star 3 (quarrels, disputes) are naturally reduced by the Flying Star 9 (happiness).  You could maximize the good effects by placing something red, pink or purple here.  A generally good direction if the entrance door, bed or kitchen is here.

Southeast

Southeast is a good direction for study, because the Flying Stars 1 and 4 meets here.  This direction is best used for placing the desk here for students, as well as people who work at home.  If your cubicle/seat/desk is located in the Southeast of the whole office, this is also a good direction of the month.

South

This is a direction where “fire” fights against “metal”, so it is not good for health, particularly related to head, stomach, digestive system and lung.  To solve this problem, you should place a big stone in this direction.

Southwest

This is a direction of “double earth” in this month, however, both sickness and wealth would become stronger.  I’m sure that you only want wealth but not sickness, so if the entrance door, bed or kitchen is located here, you should place a metallic music box here, and make it sound often.  Alternatively, you can place a metallic wind chime here with six tubes.

West

The monthly Flying Star 4 is attacked by the yearly Flying Star 7, you should place a glass of water here to enhance your finance as well as improve study (for students) or work (for white-collars).

Northwest

This is a direction not good for health because of injury or accident.  If the entrance door, bed or kitchen is located here, you should place a glass of water here.

North

The yearly “water” Flying Star is enhanced by the monthly “metal” star, which is good for wealth as well as happiness.  There could be good things to happen if the entrance door or bedroom is located in this direction.

Northeast

Similar to Southwest, this direction is also a “double earth” one that would make wealth and sickness goes up at the same time.  The Feng Shui cure is the same, put a metallic music box or wind chime here.

Center

Again, a “double earth” place in this month.  Avoid having any construction/building/repair works here, so that the bad effects would not be triggered.

January 2013 Feng Shui

East is where the yearly Study Star 4 meets the monthly Relationship Star 1.  This direction is good for study and examination.  If you need to attend an examination in this month, you should study in this direction of the room or place the desk here.

Southeast is where two bad Flying Stars meets, if unfortunately your house’s door, bedroom or kitchen is in this direction, you should put something with metal and water characteristics here, such as a music box and a glass of water.

South is good for interpersonal relationship as well as wealth, it’s nice if the door or bedroom is here.

Southwest is where where the yearly Flying Star 3 comes, it should be a direction of disputes.  However, the monthly Flying Star 9 arrives here in this month, so it reduces the bad effect of the Flying Star 3 and bring happiness.  So you don’t need to alter the Feng Shui here.

West is a “double-earth” direction in this month, so bad health may appear if the bed, door or kitchen is here.  The solution is the same as Southeast.

Northwest could be a bad direction with the implication of loss of wealth, and adding the monthly Flying Star 4 may mean bad health and injury.  You should put a glass of water, aquarium or water feature here.

North is similar to West because it is also a “double-earth” direction with Flying Star 2 involved.  You need to do the same as in Southeast and West if the bed, kitchen or door is located here.

Northeast is where “fire” and “metal” characteristics combat, so you need to put a stone here.

Center is also not a good direction.  If in the unlikely case your bed or door in located right in the middle of the house, you should place a glass of water or a vase with water here.
